Before we had these resources, my students had to take turns sharing the paddles we had, and they were worn down and chipping at the corners. These new paddles are much safer and easier to use (and every student gets one!)\r\n\r\nWhen my students first saw the paddles, they were a bit surprised, to say the least. I had multiple students tell me that the paddles were very sturdy and felt so much better than the last time they had to use them. I even had one student who doesn't like to participate say that they were excited to use the new paddles!\r\n\r\nThe next steps that I plan to take are to have a pickleball area installed at our school. We have an old tennis court that has seen better days, but it would be the perfect area for pickleball. I hope that once it gets going, the students can have full games outside, being active and enjoying the game. And thanks to you and your generous donations, that vision is becoming a reality. They enjoy using the white boards more than just using paper and pencil. The white boards make it easier for me to walk around the room and see who is spelling the sound/word correctly.
