When they arrived, they were so curious. I immediately told them all the ways they could use it and as soon as it was center time, a few kids asked to play memory at the table. \r\nSince then students consistently ask to go and work there. As newcomers, visuals and hands on learning is so important!! Teaching life cycles is a state standard and through your funding I was able to provide the students with a hands on real life experience hatching chickens from eggs in an incubator. The project was a huge success! The students are now experts on the life cycle of a chicken, caring for living animals, learning about habitats and rehoming chickens to a farm. The students English language exploded throughout this project! By contributing to my project, you've helped not only me, but also the other SLP and the three OTs I work with. Our students have been so engaged and happy to have new complete items to play with and our sessions have been much more engaging since receiving these items. \r\nEach item has made a huge impact in my ability to work with my students. I use Goodnight Gorilla in every assessment to look at students' ability to retell a story, form a cohesive narrative, answer questions, and look at their perspective taking ability in a way that doesn't feel as rigid as many tests. Don't Break the Ice, Beware of the Bear, and Crocodile Dentist have become my students' three favorite games and we play them in almost every session. The emotion legos, train set, barn, and racetrack puzzle have become quick fixtures in our gross motor room and favorite choices for many of my minimally speaking students to engage, leading to huge gains in their language and communication. \r\nTruly, your contribution of these items has transformed and improved my sessions in a huge way, and I am so thankful for your kindness and support.","fullyFundedDate":1735872533594,"projectUrl":"project/creating-connection-through-communicatio/9024368/","projectTitle":"Creating Connection Through Communication","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Sarah","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-4_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9795547"},{"teacherId":7078531,"projectId":8513774,"letterContent":"I am writing to express my heartfelt gratitude for your generous donation of classroom books and materials.
