This classroom set of novels is such a blessing for us to allow each student to have their own copy of the book, for our novel study. Novel studies in the History classroom are a fun way to step out of the textbook, while focusing on specific periods of history. This book helped my students to make connections between what we learned about the Revolution, and Colonial America, with the struggles the characters in the book were facing during the outbreak of Yellow Fever in Philadelphia. We were able to see parallels of real historical figures we know and learned, intertwined with fictional characters of the story. It is truly so beneficial to have classroom sets of books in my Historical Library.
