During our morning meetings and read-alouds, students are learning how to identify their feelings, listen to others, and work through challenges in positive ways. I've noticed students using strategies from these stories in real life, taking deep breaths, using \"I feel\" statements, and encouraging one another throughout the day.\r\n\r\nThe hands-on learning stations have also brought so much excitement and engagement to our classroom. Students are able to explore new concepts through interactive, play-based learning,building teamwork, communication, and critical thinking skills at the same time. Students read independently, share their thoughts in partner discussions, and respond in their journals. They're building stamina as readers, but also learning that books are tools for discussion, reflection, and problem-solving.
