The SPOT series that we were gifted have aided in sharing age appropriate ways o build character in our Kinder and 1st grade classes as they very closely align with our ROAR rules (Respect others, Offer kindness, Act with Safety, Respect others) along with other great themes like honesty and patience that we plan to implement next semester. The Healthy Snack box that we were gifted allowed us to have conversations with our 4th-6th grade students about healthy swaps that are available to them in their grocery stores and how important coupling healthy eating with regular exercise is. The Soccer Ball pack that we were gifted served as prizes for our big end of the semester career exploration activity. You can see in our winners and their prospective career ideas in the pictures provided! \r\n\r\nOur Grayson Cougars were so excited with each package that arrived to our Counseling Office! They were incredibly grateful that so much of our gifts were individualized to our schools likes and interests. I learned very quickly in this position that our kiddos are incredibly motivated by soccer and quality time! The gifts that were provided to my office allowed me to create a safe and comfortable environment, to reward their good character habits and start important conversations about healthy habits.
