Where kids once sat silently for 30 minutes and read their new book they checked out, now students collaboratively sit together and talk about/look at books, they draw the characters from their favorite books, or they build them with legos.\r\n\r\nNot every kiddo who comes to the library loves books or loves to read, so it is important to make the library space a welcoming and fun space for all students - hence the invention of the Maker-Space!\r\n\r\nWhen students get the opportunity to engage in the library Maker-Space, they are connecting with friends and learning important coping and sharing skills right alongside developing fine motor skills and the ability to create what comes to their mind's eye. \r\n\r\nYour support of our Maker-Space project allows our little seekers of knowledge to flourish in a multitude of ways.
