I introduced the bins during our morning centers, and the students immediately dove in with curiosity and creativity. Each bin includes different hands-on materials, such as building blocks, gears, and connectors, which allow students to design, build, and problem-solve. The students love working in small groups, sharing ideas, and learning from one another as they create their own inventions. These bins have quickly become one of their favorite classroom activities!\r\n\r\nThe STEM bins have had a huge impact on my students' learning and confidence. They encourage critical thinking, teamwork, and perseverance — skills that go far beyond the classroom. I've noticed students using vocabulary from our science and math lessons while they build, and they are more eager to participate in discussions about how things work. The excitement and engagement I see during STEM time are amazing. I'm so grateful for these materials, as they have truly sparked a love for learning and discovery in my students.","fullyFundedDate":1753291841187,"projectUrl":"project/engineer-a-brighter-tomorrow-donate-to/9452169/","projectTitle":"Engineer a Brighter Tomorrow: Donate to Our STEM Bins!","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Cannon","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp2020165_orig.jpg?width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1752004476244","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/2020165"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_1327","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":610,"numTeachers":36,"percentFrplEligible":93,"percentAsian":1,"percentBlack":2,"percentWhite":77,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":12,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"K - 5","studentTeacherRatio":"16.9:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"UNCLASSIFIED","ncesMetroType":"SUBURB_MIDSIZE"},"inStateSupporters":76.4,"schoolId":1327,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Granite Falls Elementary School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Granite Falls Elementary School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/north-carolina/caldwell-county-school-district/granite-falls-elementary-school/1327"}
