I gave clues and the students tried to guess what was inside. Then we opened it together! I had a student get one of our babies from the dramatic play area and we put her in it! They were very excited. Together we found a place in the house area for the highchair.\r\n\r\nOur students have been taking turns feeding the babies and pretending they are \"Mom, Dad, Grandma, Grandpa and babysitter!\" It makes it easier and more realistic having the new highchair. It also adds a more homelike atmosphere in our classroom. I set it up and the next day they were so excited to see the new items I was able to add to the area. We put some cut wood birch circles for them to explore with magnifying glasses and also stack them together. \r\n\r\nInstead of throwing the box away, we used it to make an ice shanty for our dramatic play area.
