My students are beginning to use the smaller stories to sound out new words and work on their reading skills.\r\n Some of these books are great for me to help teach my students about Diversity in the classroom, dealing with real life situations, and some of these books are just for fun reading. I have also created anchor charts for my students during Reading and English. These posters hang up in the front of our classroom and help my students daily during independent or group work. Students also use the notepads for group projects. The student recently created research projects on each planet of our solar system. Each students was divided into groups of two. The students then drew their planet, added a title, and glued their research paper to their poster. There posters were then hung up in the hallway for other classes to see, along with their parents for parent teacher conferences. We plan to make more throughout the rest of our school year. \r\nOur headphones have been put to great use, especially during during independent time. Students enjoy choosing their favorite color of headphones to wear. Students who prefer a quiet setting in order to get work done know that they are able to grab a set of headphones whenever they please. After the school day students put their headphones back in a bin that is disinfected each day so they are ready to be used the following day!","fullyFundedDate":1734462487964,"projectUrl":"project/the-peaceful-learning-initiative/8977994/","projectTitle":"The Peaceful Learning Initiative","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Grasmick","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp8121042_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1693532325205","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/8121042"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_43248","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":210,"numTeachers":9,"percentFrplEligible":67,"percentAsian":0,"percentBlack":0,"percentWhite":18,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":80,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"Pre-K - 12","studentTeacherRatio":"23.3:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":false,"metroType":"RURAL","ncesMetroType":"RURAL_REMOTE"},"inStateSupporters":80.6,"schoolId":43248,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Granada School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Granada School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/colorado/granada-school-district-re-1/granada-school/43248"}
