I first introduced them to the primary colors and showed them how to use the Kwik Stix. They were thrilled to have the opportunity to finally paint. I watched the students who are tactile intolerant also beam with excitement as I demonstrated how the Kwik Stix work. I then gave each of them a Kwik Stix to practice using. \r\n Upon receiving the Kwik Stix, students immediately started painting. There was no apprehension from the students who were tactile intolerant. Everyone participated - there were no apprehensions or refusals. They experimented with painting shapes, lines, and color mixing using the paint sticks. After experimenting, they used the Kwik Stix to paint a giant leaf and pumpkin to celebrate the Autumn season. \r\n This experience enabled every student to engage in color theory and helped them to understand the importance of primary colors. Your generosity enabled all of my PreK and K students to joyfully engage in the creative and discovery process of color theory. While many people use printers at home for basic tasks, in our classroom—especially with students who have special needs—this technology becomes a powerful learning tool. It allows us to create vibrant, visually rich materials that support reading, communication, and subjects like science. For students who rely on visual supports, color printing makes learning more accessible by showing real-life images that help them connect words to real-world objects and ideas.\r\n\r\nWhat excites my students most is the color itself! The bright, clear images grab their attention immediately and make lessons feel more interactive and fun. My students needs a lot of prompting to stay focused, has shown interest and engagement during lessons with colorful visuals.
