The new toys and manipulatives have brought so much excitement and joy to our classroom. The students love exploring the variety of materials, which has helped them learn how to share, take turns, and play together. It's been wonderful to see them building friendships and social skills while having fun.\r\n\r\nWe're now using the manipulatives as part of our counting collections and literacy lessons. Students use them to practice counting, sorting, and even learning their letters in hands-on, engaging ways. These materials have truly made learning meaningful and enjoyable for every child. We served more than 400 cups of coffee, cocoa, and cheer in just 3 weeks! Your donations made it possible for every 3rd grader at GPS to feel like a superstar. \r\n\r\nEach student had a chance to be our special barista helping staff and parent volunteers on campus and then teaching the barista who took over the next day. They were interacting with teachers from TK through 8th grade, office staff, yard duties, and admin in a way that brought them immense joy and pride. They also learned about independence, problem solving, communication, confidence, and service to others. \r\n\r\nFor me personally, I love that this project gives our students a chance to shine in a different way. Students who may struggle academically were excelling as leaders and hosts in our room. Students who are normally shy and reserved, were shining as they served the adults they care about. \r\n\r\nThis project builds community both within our class and across our campus. We were able to connect with staff we don't get to see in 3rd grade any other time of year. It also gives our grownups a change of routine at a time when morale can use that extra boost. \r\n\r\nWe could not make this happen without the generous support of our community and Donors like you.
