Your contribution has made a profound difference in their ability to focus, regulate emotions, and engage meaningfully in the classroom.\r\n\r\nSince incorporating fidget toys into our learning environment, I have observed a remarkable improvement in the scholar's ability to stay on task. These tools have provided a constructive outlet for excess energy and anxiety, helping scholars especially those who struggle with attention and self-regulation, remain engaged during lessons. I have seen scholars who previously had difficulty sitting through instruction now able to participate with greater confidence and focus.\r\n\r\nThe social-emotional learning activities have been equally transformative. Many of my scholars face challenges in expressing their emotions and navigating social interactions. With guided SEL exercises, they are learning valuable skills such as empathy, conflict resolution, and self-awareness. I have witnessed scholars working together more harmoniously, showing increased patience, and using newly learned coping strategies to manage stress.\r\n\r\nAdditionally, the availability of healthy snacks has been instrumental in keeping scholars energized and ready to learn. Hunger is a major barrier to focus, and having access to nutritious options has ensured that scholars are not distracted by empty stomachs. This simple yet impactful support has contributed to better concentration, improved mood, and a more positive classroom atmosphere.\r\n\r\nYour investment in my scholars' well-being is creating a lasting impact, equipping them with the tools they need to succeed both academically and emotionally. Because of your generosity, my classroom is now a more inclusive, nurturing space where all scholars have the opportunity to thrive.\r\n\r\nThank you for believing in my scholars and for making a tangible difference in their lives. Your support has not only enhanced their learning experience but has also given them a foundation for long-term success.","fullyFundedDate":1726022513651,"projectUrl":"project/fidget-friendly/8708315/","projectTitle":"Fidget Friendly","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Jackson","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp8681045_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1756230078996","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/8681045"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_69922","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":372,"numTeachers":15,"percentFrplEligible":95,"percentAsian":0,"percentBlack":99,"percentWhite":0,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":0,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"K - 8","studentTeacherRatio":"24.8:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"SUBURBAN","ncesMetroType":"SUBURB_LARGE"},"inStateSupporters":54.5,"schoolId":69922,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about George Washington Carver Academy on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"George Washington Carver Academy","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/michigan/-county-run-/george-washington-carver-acad/69922"}
