With options like a cozy teepee, a comfy modular couch, a stimulating saucer chair, traditional foldable chairs, and colorful cushions, students can choose seating that best suits their learning style. This has significantly increased student engagement and focus. Children are eager to learn and actively participate in their education. The variety of seating caters to different learning styles, allowing students to move and find positions that help them concentrate.\r\n\r\nFurthermore, students take immense pride in their learning space. They have even taken on class jobs dedicated to maintaining the space, ensuring it remains organized and inviting. Children happily organize the seating options and even decorate the classroom to create a vibrant and inspiring learning environment. This sense of ownership has significantly enhanced their learning experience.\r\n\r\nOne of my favorite memories was during a recent read aloud. I gathered the students around the cozy teepee, and each child found a comfortable spot to enjoy the story. Some curled up on the couch, others leaned against the cushions, and a few even found spots on the floor. The relaxed atmosphere and the variety of seating options created a truly magical reading experience for everyone.\r\nThank you so very much for our Cozy Corner.","fullyFundedDate":1727458995271,"projectUrl":"project/cozy-corners-and-creative-minds-a-secon/8528160/","projectTitle":"Cozy Corners and Creative Minds: A Second Grader's Learning Oasis","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Guigliano","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp3845190_orig.jpg?crop=2048,2048,x0,y218&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1723492154652","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/3845190"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_22338","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":207,"numTeachers":24,"percentFrplEligible":0,"percentAsian":2,"percentBlack":0,"percentWhite":76,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":12,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"Pre-K - 8","studentTeacherRatio":"8.6:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":false,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"RURAL","ncesMetroType":"RURAL_FRINGE"},"inStateSupporters":93.8,"schoolId":22338,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Garrison Elementary School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Garrison Elementary School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/new-york/garrison-union-free-school-district/garrison-school/22338"}
