The resin animal prizes and punch card rewards quickly became powerful motivators, encouraging students to stay on task and give their best effort. One student, after earning enough punches for their very first prize, proudly told the class, \"I've never worked so hard for something in school before!\" The small erasers and life saver mints have also been simple but meaningful ways to celebrate effort and persistence, helping students feel recognized for their progress in a positive, tangible way.\r\n\r\nThe magnetic notebook paper has been a game changer for teaching organization and writing skills. Being able to model proper formatting directly on the board, where all students can see, has helped eliminate confusion and boosted confidence in their independent work. Recently, during a writing assignment, several students pointed out that they could now set up their papers \"just like on the board,\" and their pride in presenting neat, correctly formatted work was so rewarding to witness.\r\n\r\nNext, we are continuing to build on these positive routines by connecting rewards to longer-term goals, such as finishing multi-step writing projects and completing geography research. The sharpened pencils and erasers are ready to keep their work clean and organized, while the prizes keep motivation high. Thanks to your generosity, my students not only have the tools they need but also the encouragement to keep strivingāand the excitement in our classroom makes it clear that these resources are making a lasting difference.","fullyFundedDate":1746785937623,"projectUrl":"project/motivation-express/9276771/","projectTitle":"Motivation Express","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Gilliland","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9191054_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1754403394662","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9191054"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_43084","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":394,"numTeachers":25,"percentFrplEligible":48,"percentAsian":0,"percentBlack":2,"percentWhite":40,"percentIndigenous":43,"percentLatinx":5,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"6 - 8","studentTeacherRatio":"15.8:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":false,"metroType":"RURAL","ncesMetroType":"RURAL_DISTANT"},"inStateSupporters":57.1,"schoolId":43084,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Fort Gibson Middle School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Fort Gibson Middle School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/oklahoma/fort-gibson-school-district-3/ft-gibson-middle-school/43084"}
