While our students love stories, these new texts have allowed us to go much deeper into the skills that strong readers develop. Through this novel, students are practicing predicting, analyzing character traits, identifying themes, building vocabulary, and using text evidence to support their thinking. The book also introduces important social-emotional lessons—friendship, empathy, kindness, and courage—which naturally spark meaningful conversations during our reading time.\r\n\r\nReading in our classroom is a joyful, community-building experience. Students gather with their books in hand, follow along during read-aloud, discuss their ideas with partners, and respond in journals. Because every student has their own copy, everyone can engage equally—tracking the text, rereading confusing parts, and feeling like confident, capable readers. The room truly comes alive with curiosity as students flip pages, whisper predictions, and react to key moments in the story.\r\n\r\nYour donation didn't just put books in students' hands—it gave them confidence, connection, and a genuine love of reading. Thank you for making this possible.","fullyFundedDate":1758807490024,"projectUrl":"project/spinning-stories-with-charlottes-web/9723755/","projectTitle":"Spinning Stories With Charlotte's Web","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Corbett","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp413834_orig.jpg?crop=2010,2010,x0,y515&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1657141713673","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/kris-lehman"},{"teacherId":413834,"projectId":9510738,"letterContent":"My students are loving the new rug! I also have past students stop by daily and they are also so excited to see it!\r\nOur classroom rug is one of my favorite tools. It encourages community and supports structure.
