They are truly amazed that I don't want anything from them. Everyone has the mentality that you can't be given anything unless you have something to give back. No one wants to just do something to benefit someone else. Thank you for enabling me to be someone they feel comfortable coming to and communicating with for a little bit of joy. \r\nMost students today have their heads down all the time looking at their phones. They are uncomfortable and unfamiliar with verbally communicating with others, especially adults. All I ask of them is to tell me their name, ask politely, and use their manners afterwards. It is amazing how fast word travels when kids know they can get a free snack. But they have to step outside of that comfort zone to ask. I love learning their names and connecting with them. They are starting to ask how my day has been and opening up when they are having a hard time. As someone who didn't always have someone to talk to as a teen, I feel blessed to be in this position. But it would never have been possible without your support. \r\nThank you so very much for your generosity! The sensory items have been a blessing to some of my students who need a way to express their anxiety and frustration in a healthy way. They are able to use the stress balls to release some of that tension. The weighted shoulder wraps have been so calming for those who need it.\r\nOur world would be a better place if we all tried to live each day trying to bless someone else's.","fullyFundedDate":1739560194298,"projectUrl":"project/essentials-for-care-motivation/9063067/","projectTitle":"Essentials for Care & Motivation","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Havaich","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-10_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9726479"},{"teacherId":9726479,"projectId":8734174,"letterContent":"My students have been tremendously blessed by your generous gift of learning tools and snacks.
