Your kindness ensures that no student has to worry about going hungry and reminds them that their community truly cares about their well-being and success.\r\nWe are deeply appreciative of your generosity and partnership in supporting our students. As I mentioned, we already have a cricut machine and material to start this project. As you all contributed and gave us the final supplies to accomplish our goal, it has been such a reward to watch these kids get excited over our \"school swag\". \r\nYears prior we only had the opportunity to afford senior t-shirts, but as we continued to ask our students what they would like to see at our school, they asked for shirts, sweats, beanies, and hats. You could imagine the excitement with the first pair of sweats I was able to put our logo on! I have had several students ask if they could get a pair! Or a student who saw another student with a beanie with our logo and asked, \"where did you get that\"?! It has been so joyous to watch our students get excited! \r\nLastly, I would like to point out that many of our students come from low-income households, our poverty rate is above 90%. This means that we are able to provide awesome clothing to students that may not have clean clothes, or clothes that are wore and tattered. This is the difference you all have made with our students. I am beyond grateful to each and everyone of you!","fullyFundedDate":1739371421620,"projectUrl":"project/school-swag/8889977/","projectTitle":"School Swag!","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Amanda","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-4_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9633926"},{"teacherId":9779255,"projectId":9048143,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for your snack donations for Freedom High School. The students have been eating the snacks when they are hungry and to help them focus in school. It also has helped with multiple students feel better with things such as nausea, dizziness, headaches, and stomachaches. \r\n\r\nWhen the students first saw the new snacks they were extremely excited and thrilled. One student stated \"People do care about us!\" It was extremely sweet and endearing. Freedom HS's at risk population and underfunded school has experienced recent cuts in administration-only having a 1/2 time Principal. In saying that, the students have felt like they don't matter. So even though some may see the snacks as just snacks, they are a glimmer of hope for the kids that they matter and people care. \r\n\r\nThe snacks have been split between the Health Office and Family Liaison and we have been giving them to the kids as needed. Again, this is helping the students stay in school and we greatly appreciate it !
