While many people use technology every day at home, having access to reliable technology in a school setting makes a different kind of impact—one that directly shapes how students understand and interact with content. With this printer, my students can now print visual notes, project materials, timelines, DBQs for peer editing, and review resources that help them engage with history at a deeper level. Instead of relying solely on screens, they can annotate, highlight, revise, and discuss printed materials in ways that support hands-on learning and stronger retention.\r\n\r\nWhat excites my students most is the chance to bring their ideas to life in full color. They love seeing their posters, maps, gallery-walk materials, and graphic organizers printed neatly and professionally—it makes their hard work feel \"real.\" Whether it's an AP World project, a Dual Credit presentation, or a creative assignment, having this tool has boosted their confidence and pride in their learning. Many students who don't always speak up in class have been especially eager to print and share their work, and the printer gives them an outlet to express themselves visually and academically.\r\n\r\nOne student in particular, who often struggles with confidence, lights up every time she prints her project drafts. She takes tremendous care in designing her materials, and being able to print them beautifully has helped her participate more actively in group activities and class discussions. Moments like these remind me just how meaningful your generosity is. Thank you for giving my students the tools to create, collaborate, and feel proud of their achievements—your support is making a daily difference in our classroom.","fullyFundedDate":1754746601014,"projectUrl":"project/printing-the-past-bringing-history-proj/9545419/","projectTitle":"Printing the Past: Bringing History Projects to Life","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Scheidemantel","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-9_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/8053517"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_9800","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":1037,"numTeachers":69,"percentFrplEligible":70,"percentAsian":0,"percentBlack":0,"percentWhite":49,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":47,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"9 - 12","studentTeacherRatio":"15.0:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"TOWN","ncesMetroType":"TOWN_REMOTE"},"inStateSupporters":50.0,"schoolId":9800,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Fredericksburg High School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Fredericksburg High School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/texas/fredericksburg-independent-school-district/fredericksburg-high-school/9800"}
