The items provided from this project have helped with several classroom projects so far this year. These projects have been much easier to conduct with the supplies afforded to us. \r\n\r\nMy students have been able to use problem solving skills to create aluminum foil boats. This project had them working with a partner to go through the problem solving process developing a way to create a boat that would float when weighed down with up to 15 pennies. They have used the large paper to create posters that show off their learning, maintained an organized classroom space with baskets that kept personal materials safe and away from causing distraction, and provided information to their learning environment that would otherwise have been unavailable. \r\n\r\nYour donation is crucial to the success of my students and our school. We use all of the materials in some way nearly daily. The headphones have especially been helpful on days where students are use Computer Simulations. This week alone, students completed two different PHET simulations based on Newton's Laws of Motion.\r\n\r\nThe art supplies have been invaluable. Students have been able to use their supplies most recently to create their posters of Energy Transfer Diagrams which also met one of the NGSS. The could not believe I was not asking the art teacher to borrow his stuff!\r\n\r\nAnd lastly, the flexible seating red chair. This has brought so much joy to my students. We use this daily as an incentive to be able to sit in the red wobbly chair. There is currently a wait list, so I will actually be submitting a project for more flexible seating for our classroom to allow more than one student in a class of 30 this opportunity.","fullyFundedDate":1753971703994,"projectUrl":"project/science-brought-to-life/9452649/","projectTitle":"Science Brought to Life!","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Hardesty","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp10073676_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1755877909165","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10073676"},{"teacherId":4665842,"projectId":9001922,"letterContent":"The Bolt Bash was a huge success this year, and it would not have been possible without the generous donations we received. Students were able to enjoy a well-earned reward for their hard work, and families were able to experience a positive connection with the school community.\r\n\r\nFor staff, the Bolt Bash provided an opportunity to engage with students and families in a fun, relaxed setting, building stronger relationships and boosting morale. While this is more of a \"behind the scenes\" project, the impact on students will be beneficial. Students can be pretty hard on our library books and maintaining them after damages is a costly effort. Tape and glue can only go so far with the variety of damages done to books. Having the proper items to prevent or delay those damages is essential in running the library. This is the ideal way to present new books to students. When they can see the books in good condition, they are more likely to be read and enjoyed. The materials purchased from this project will help our books last longer for more students to continue to enjoy. \r\n\r\nThe bookmarks are such a great way to keep kids reading! While it may seem like such a small item, grabbing a new bookmark along with their new book can bring so much joy to students. \r\n\r\nThank you again for all your help with this project!","fullyFundedDate":1733152163495,"projectUrl":"project/fun-and-functional-library/8956700/","projectTitle":"Fun and Functional Library","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Schoenbeck","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/272x272/tp2685878_272x272.jpg?width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1519760950342","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/mrs-schoenbeck"},{"teacherId":9080104,"projectId":8983306,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for your support in getting snacks for my kids.
