We always start as a whole group and introduce the new toys and how to work them and how to use them. We always talk about our safety commitments and how we can work and play together and share our things. It is important for me and my students to know that we can work together and everybody will get a chance with our new classroom toys and learning manipulatives. Once we have learned about the new toys, how to use them, how to work them, review how to take turns and wait for a turn, I then placed the toys into the small group activities throughout the day. Or I placed them in some of our place centers that they're allowed to use during interest area time.\r\nBecause of your generosity, I am able to bring new things into the classroom throughout the year and keep the interests high and learning optimized\r\nOnce again, thank you so much for your generosity and continued support for my early childhood special education classroom. Our students' love for literacy has grown tremendously! \r\n\r\nI saw students fully engage and concentrate on listening more intently to stories. A number of students who had no interest in books began asking to use the Tonie box more often. Students also began drawing pictures and practicing writing words while listening to stories. They were able to connect many writing and art concepts while practicing their literacy skills. When one of my administrators visited the class, she commented that she was so impressed with all the literacy skills our students were being exposed to.\r\n\r\nThis experience has grown our students love of literacy. I have even had parents tell me their child has asked for a Tonie box at home to use since having the opportunity to use ours at school. \r\n\r\nUtilizing this technology encourages self-help skills, independence, language exposure, expanded opportunities for music and movement, and more. Because the children can use the Tonie box by themselves, they are getting to build their independence! They enjoy turning it on, plugging in the headphones, etc. It really builds their confidence as well. They are being exposed to more language by listening to the stories and songs on each Tonie. \r\n\r\nThe students enjoy choosing the different familiar characters to use with their Tonie box, and singing familiar songs. Thanks to your contributions, we were able to bring new literacy tools—such as Tonies Boxes—into our classroom.\r\nThese resources are already making a meaningful difference in our students' learning. The Tonies Boxes allow children to explore stories, songs, and recorded messages in an interactive and engaging way. They not only spark a love for books and music but also encourage the development of language, speech, and verbal skills. With the ability for teachers to record messages and information, students can now gain independence by replaying instructions, stories, and songs on their own. This gives them the confidence to explore literacy in ways that best meet their needs.\r\nYour generosity has created opportunities for growth, communication, and joy in our classroom.
