The toys and rewards for our class store--brick building sets, magic wand pencils, stuffed sharks and turtles, fun pens, blind- bag boxes, and notebooks--have already sparked so much joy among my students.\r\n\r\nThese items do more than motivate students; they help build positive habits, reinforce effort, and create a supportive classroom culture where hard work is noticed and celebrated. My students are already talking about which rewards they're saving up for, and it's wonderful to see them so engaged, proud, and determined.\r\n\r\nThe class store is also strengthening my students' goal setting and decision making skills. They are learning to save, plan, and budget their class money.\r\n\r\nThank you for believing in our classroom and for choosing to support my students. The next library class, we did centers with one of the Pete the Cat games, the Storytelling Dominoes, and one of the collaborative posters, using the colored pencils. The kids and I have been having a wonderful time incorporating these activities into library time. \r\n\r\nAnother fantastic aspect of this project is I have been able to utilize some of these items for small interventions that I do. They love how the magnetic pen brings up the little balls to the surface of the letters they trace. Then they are able to push the balls back down as they trace the letters with their fingers. The younger students also love the blocks as they practice using pinching fingers, and lacing the caterpillar through the holes.\r\n\r\nAll of the students love the Kinetic Sand and the other sensory bins with the colored rice and water beads. You helped me provide this!\r\n\r\nHaving the access to snacks during the school day supports students' physical and mental well-being. It helps maintain energy levels and improves focus, especially during long stretches between meals. Students who are not hungry are more likely to stay engaged, participate in class, and perform better academically. Nutrient-rich snacks can also stabilize mood and behavior, reducing irritability and disruptions. Additionally, offering snacks fosters a more inclusive environment by supporting students who may face food insecurity at home.\r\n\r\nThe students who have used the snacks this year were surprised I even offered it to them.
