This program has given me the needed funds to purchase materials to supplement my ELA curriculum. \r\n\r\nWith your donated funds I choose to purchase materials that can be used in a variety of ways to build my students knowledge of literary elements. They have enjoyed being to work in small groups to complete the match and sort language quickies I was able to purchase. This has been great to give them the opportunity to have great discussions and help one another understand the concepts presented. Sometimes their peers are the best teachers.\r\n\r\nThey have also enjoyed the nonfiction reading cards that were purchased. The stories are just the right length for them to read and discuss in small group settings. I was impressed with the quality of the information and the excitement of the students to tell me about what they have read. They were fascinated with how a vending machine tells how much money was inserted!","fullyFundedDate":1726625068581,"projectUrl":"project/literary-learners/8795837/","projectTitle":"Literary Learners","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Harms","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-8_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9752855"},{"teacherId":9715757,"projectId":8718198,"letterContent":"I am really enjoying having the new set of math resources on hand! I work in two different schools teaching JH math, so the manipulatives are being put to great use. The calculators have been a big hit as we are currently working with rate, proportional relationships, and linear equations. \r\n\r\nThe students are really learning a lot using the manipulatives. They are excited about math and willing to try and persevere through challenges. This was my goal this year!\r\n\r\nAs we continue to move through the school year, I am anxious to let the students explore more of the algebra manipulatives.
