My intern and I have utilized the space for counseling and crisis sessions with students. The room has been used by other student support staff and even an ESE teacher for testing some students that appreciated the environment. We will be holding several groups in the space this spring also and look forward to seeing how this larger more equipped space impacts the group dynamics. \r\n\r\nAll students have enjoyed the calm corner when needing some quiet time. Some students have utilized the alternative seating during counseling session. Other materials such as the games have been enjoyed by students while doing some very challenging work in counseling. It has quickly become one of our favorite tools.\r\n\r\nAs soon as the easel arrived, the students were excited and curious. We now use it every day for visual schedules, communication supports, and hands-on lessons.\r\n\r\nOne of our favorite moments so far was during a story activity. Students used the easel to move picture cards and put a story in order—it really helped them understand and stay engaged.\r\n\r\nThis easel helps us meet the needs of all our students in a more organized and interactive way.
