Your generosity has offered so many new experiences for my students and I am so excited to continue exploring and learning with our new equipment! \r\n\r\nWe were able to get even more equipment than originally anticipated due to a shortage of stepping stones when it was time to order! In addition to our planned order we were able to get new scarves, fidgets, and movement ribbons to further enhance instruction. I would say that our favorite equipment so far has been our set of Gator Skin Balls. We have used them for passing games, beat practice and as props to practice complex partner games. I knew that they would be high quality equipment for the music room but we didn't realize that they could also double as percussion instruments when smushed into the ground or slapped into your hand! \r\n\r\nThe stepping stones I was able to substitute are shaped like turtle shells which are really popular with the kids! I originally thought that we would use these to practice beat and phrase length however the kids have really pushed the envelope by using them to represent rhythms- building four beat patterns and then challenging themselves to traverse the pattern in the correct rhythm! \r\n\r\nI can't thank you enough for your support of our music classroom! Having such fun and innovative materials to plan with in my music room has reinvented my teaching and I can't wait to find more and more ways to play and learn!","fullyFundedDate":1733236414362,"projectUrl":"project/innovative-props-to-inspire-our-young-mu/8611595/","projectTitle":"Innovative Props to Inspire Our Young Musicians!","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Wilke","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-6_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/7725591"},{"teacherId":8873319,"projectId":9023729,"letterContent":"It is unimaginable and beyond appreciated to have yet another Donor's Choose Project funded by this amazing community.
