The helping scissors are a great support for all the little hands and large amounts of cutting we do in kindergarten.\r\nThe weighted blanket and lap pad have a wonderful calming effect on students who are feeling over stimulated or just need to feel centered. \r\nThank you so much for the support for my classroom and for these kids. My students and I are using the bean bags as a reward system to sit in the comfortable seating. Once they are done with their work, they are able to sit and relax in the comfortable bean bags. This helps them relax and learn to love to get their work done. \r\nWhen the materials arrived in boxes, they couldn't wait to help get it out of the box and help put them together. They were so excited and non-stopped asked if they could sit in the bean bags right away. They had to wait 24 hours, but once they were able, it is always a question if they can sit in them. They love learning in the flexible seating, and it provides them a sense of comfort and safety to learn.\r\nOur next steps in learning is to read \"Wonder\" and \"The Running Dream\" in the classroom. When we have independent reading, they love to share the bean bag with their classmates to let the most amount of students sit in the comfortable, flexible seating. They love reading novels, and we have been having a great year so far. Again, thank you all so much! My students love them! The round design gives students more individual workspace while still allowing four students to comfortably sit and work together. They were excited to see the new tables and immediately noticed how much more room they had.\r\n\r\nWe use the tables every day for classwork, group activities, and science projects. They make it much easier for students to collaborate because everyone can face one another and share materials without feeling crowded. As we move into our science units this year, students will continue using the tables for hands on activities, investigations, and group work.\r\n\r\nThank you for helping us create a classroom that is more comfortable and functional for our students. Our school is a very small school (200 students in K-12), and we have been hit with some fairly substantial budget cuts in the past few years. Your kind donation has made it possible for my freshmen class to get new books to replace our books that were completely falling apart.\r\n\r\nI feel that it is important for our students to read some of the classic literature in school where we can discuss some of the important issues that it addresses. To Kill a Mockingbird is one of those texts that I am passionate about.
