Students are building confidence as readers, practicing fluency, and improving comprehension as they tackle stories at their own pace. We've seen them grow in their ability to think critically about texts, ask questions, and make connections between stories and the world around them.\r\n\r\nThe books have had a particularly strong impact on certain groups of readers. Many of the boys in our class are loving the informational texts, like the Who Would Win? series, diving into facts about animals and natural science with enthusiasm. At the same time, chapter book sets are proving perfect for readers who are gaining fluency—they enjoy following a series of characters through multiple adventures, which helps them practice reading longer texts while building comprehension and stamina.\r\n\r\nReading time in our classroom is now a mix of excitement, exploration, and collaboration. Students are recommending books to one another, discussing characters, and celebrating each other's reading successes. These headphones are very comfortable for them to wear on their heads so they don't mind wearing them for longer lessons and Assessments.\r\nThese headphones work so well in keeping surrounding sound out that the students can hear their lessons very well and therefore can work through them with more accuracy.
