Students are not only learning about how to keep track of their money, but also learning how to write checks and fill out deposit slips. We are trying to make this as close to real life as possible, so they've also been learning about the taxes that are taken out of their paychecks weekly. From the very first day the equipment arrived, students were eager to get outside, divide into teams, and put the new gear to use. The footballs will be perfect for throwing drills and small games, while the volleyballs will bring new energy to our nets as students practice serving and volleying with enthusiasm. We have not had volleyballs until now! The kickballs have quickly become a favorite, encouraging everyone to join in fun, fast-paced games that get the whole class moving. Having enough high-quality equipment for everyone will make activities more inclusive, engaging, and fun.\r\n\r\nWe are incredibly grateful for your generosity in providing these resources for our students. The kids have shared how much they appreciate finally having newer, well-made balls that make their games more enjoyable and allow them to focus on improving their skills. They take pride in caring for the equipment and are excited to play every day, which has created a positive, energetic atmosphere in our PE program. Your support has not only given our students the tools to be active and healthy, but it has also shown them that others believe in their growth and success.","fullyFundedDate":1746494295515,"projectUrl":"project/optimizing-pe-through-new-equipment/9139984/","projectTitle":"Optimizing PE Through New Equipment!","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Hahn","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-10_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/6339799"},{"teacherId":253791,"projectId":8750606,"letterContent":"I first want to start by saying, once again, thank you for your contributions to my project. Without the support of donors, such as yourselves, many innovative projects would go unfunded. \r\nYour funding of my project, Pop Goes the Presidency, has allowed my students to get an inside look at one of the most iconic television shows in recent history. The authors were key characters on the show and have written a book that provides a first hand account of the making of \"The West Wing.\" These non-fiction accounts are crucial to the development of reading and writing in the area of social sciences. With the books that were purchased, students are able to read and write about the material using a primary source document, another key component of social science study. While many feel that social sciences are not important because they are not a tested subject, the ability to read non-fiction material in a sustained, long term reading provides my students with key developmental skills. \r\nThank you again, from the bottom of my heart!","fullyFundedDate":1735508357706,"projectUrl":"project/pop-goes-the-presidency-a-study-of-the/8750606/","projectTitle":"Pop Goes the Presidency: a Study of the American Presidency","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Wilson","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp253791_orig.jpg?width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1550255639831","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/253791"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_26546","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":268,"numTeachers":27,"percentFrplEligible":91,"percentAsian":0,"percentBlack":2,"percentWhite":86,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":8,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"9 - 12","studentTeacherRatio":"9.9:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":false,"metroType":"RURAL","ncesMetroType":"RURAL_DISTANT"},"inStateSupporters":60.4,"schoolId":26546,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Fieldcrest High School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Fieldcrest High School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/illinois/fieldcrest-community-unit-school-district-6/fieldcrest-high-school/26546"}
