My students now have access to tools that help them stay focused, comfortable, and ready to learn.\r\n\r\nThe wobble stools have been a huge hit! They allow students to move while seated, giving them the freedom to shift, rock, and stay physically engaged while they learn. The chair bands let students release energy by bouncing their feet as they work. The worry stone fidgets have become a quiet tool for a few students who have a strong need for tactile input. These stones are small enough to be kept in students' desks and used without drawing attention.\r\n\r\nThank you for believing in my students and for helping create an environment where all learners can thrive.","fullyFundedDate":1758859325305,"projectUrl":"project/wiggles-with-purpose/9751164/","projectTitle":"Wiggles With Purpose","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Roberts","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp767312_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1753113588127","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/robyn-roberts"},{"teacherId":767312,"projectId":9488204,"letterContent":"Thank you for your generous support of our new art supplies. My students were thrilled to receive our new Kwik Stix tempera paint and watercolor paper! As soon as we unboxed the materials, their excitement was contagious. \r\n\r\nWe used the paint sticks and paper to wrap up our science unit on landforms in a creative and meaningful way. Inspired by the landscape artwork of Etel Adnan, students created their own landscape paintings, applying what they learned about landforms while experimenting with color mixing directly on the page. They were especially surprised and delighted by how quickly the paintings dried, which allowed them to instantly share their work with their peers.\r\n\r\nThese materials made a big impact—not only supporting science and art integration, but also sparking joy and creativity in the classroom. They were eagerly asking when our gifts would arrive, when we could use them, and what games we would play first. For them, PE is one of the best parts of the day—a chance to move, laugh, and learn together. \r\n\r\nThe day we unboxed our equipment, their enthusiasm was contagious! Their faces lit up and they gasped at the sight of the new jump ropes, bean bags, and gator balls!\r\n\r\nWe started with the bean bags to help students practice catching and throwing in a way that was fun and safe. Next, we tried the jump ropes. Many students are still trying to get the hang of it, but the laughter and determination on their faces is priceless! The jump ropes will give all of the kids a chance to build strength, coordination, and persistence. My students are eager to start playing dodgeball, and the gator balls will let them play dodgeball without worrying about injury, so everyone can join in confidently. This new equipment isn't just for play—it's a gift of confidence, teamwork, and happy memories that our students will carry with them long after the games are \r\nover.","fullyFundedDate":1753980230679,"projectUrl":"project/catch-jump-throw-lets-go/9486382/","projectTitle":"Catch, Jump, Throw- Let's Go!","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Roberts","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp767312_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1753113588127","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/robyn-roberts"},{"teacherId":9566862,"projectId":8449955,"letterContent":"Your donation to our classroom library has helped my students gain a love for books. Visiting our classroom library has become a preferred activity. When students finish their work early, they love visiting the library and choosing a book to read quietly at their desk. Some students found their favorite book and always gravitate towards it while others love exploring all the books our new library has to offer. \r\n\r\nIn addition, the library has created a connection at home. Students are often excited to take a book home to share with their families. They are enthusiastic about sharing some of their favorite books with their younger siblings and parents. Having books that students can check-out gives students the experience of visiting a library because our local library is not within walking distance. Families have been appreciative and receptive to our new classroom library book check-out option. \r\n\r\nFrom the students, families, and myself, we are beyond appreciative for this gift. Each year I look forward to continuing to inspire students to read through our new classroom library.","fullyFundedDate":1728004196729,"projectUrl":"project/building-our-literacy-skills-in-our-clas/8449955/","projectTitle":"Building Our Literacy Skills in our Class Library!","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Alonzo","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9566862_orig.jpg?crop=1080,1080,x0,y0&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1718854119094","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9566862"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_91720","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":487,"numTeachers":21,"percentFrplEligible":83,"percentAsian":40,"percentBlack":0,"percentWhite":5,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":48,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"Pre-K - 6","studentTeacherRatio":"23.2:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"SUBURBAN","ncesMetroType":"SUBURB_LARGE"},"inStateSupporters":79.8,"schoolId":91720,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Faylane Elementary School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Faylane Elementary School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/california/garden-grove-unified-school-district/faylane-elementary-school/91720"}
