Every grade level has had the opportunity to get into the kitchen and use them. Their quality vastness of utility as helped each grade with their specific labs they have worked on.\r\n\r\nMost notably, my 8th graders just finished their food truck projects where they had to design food truck, it's menu, and actually good one of the dishes for all of the staff in the building. It was a huge hit, and having standardized utensils in every kitchen helped students accomplish their task of creating some really wonderful dishes!\r\n\r\nAs students helped me switch out the old utensils and add in the new, they were super excited to get to use them, and while normally cleaning up all the utensils in the kitchen is a boring and tedious task, they were all super excited.\r\n\r\nWe just finished the quarter so we still have most of the semester left for a few more labs, so I know we will continue to get great use out of these. Next up for my 7th graders is making and baking cookies to do a cookie exchange in the classroom!\r\n\r\nAgain, thank you so much for your support in helping my students see the full potential of what a kitchen can offer!","fullyFundedDate":1760567505437,"projectUrl":"project/the-utensils-to-inspire-new-experiences/9804833/","projectTitle":"The Utensils to Inspire New Experiences and Learning","teacherDisplayName":"Mr. Martens","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp10305330_orig.jpg?crop=2160,2160,x0,y410&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1760013479523","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/themartens"},{"teacherId":7740987,"projectId":9216370,"letterContent":"The Farnsworth Volleyball Team would like to extend our sincere gratitude for your generous donation of volleyballs. My High level reading intervention students have loved diving into the deceptive and wild word of \"Lost Boy: The True Story of Captain Hook\". This began as a group reading assignment almost like a book club. Students would work to read passages and then as a group we would break down what we have read, give our opinions of characters ( this included comparing the characters to their traditional ideas), analyze the actions these characters may be taking, and we also make predictions of what was going to happen. As we progressed through the book I had the majority of my students begging to please let me take the book home to get ahead. This turned into such a great discussion about how maybe things can get set up in one view and even though it may have happened differently if the majority believes that can turn beliefs into facts. \r\n\r\nWe had a wonderful time discovering this book as a class and thank you again for your generosity.","fullyFundedDate":1739455265488,"projectUrl":"project/challenging-the-point-of-view-on-a-class/8989390/","projectTitle":"Challenging the Point of View on a Classic Tale","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Giese","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-8_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/7775955"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_38344","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":462,"numTeachers":38,"percentFrplEligible":74,"percentAsian":27,"percentBlack":7,"percentWhite":37,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":17,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"6 - 8","studentTeacherRatio":"12.2:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":false,"metroType":"URBAN","ncesMetroType":"CITY_SMALL"},"inStateSupporters":48.6,"schoolId":38344,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Farnsworth Middle School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Farnsworth Middle School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/wisconsin/sheboygan-area-school-district/farnsworth-middle-school/38344"}
