I had two electric pianos that were broken previously and old posters that I have used for years and years. I tried to fund raise, but did not have enough time to implement the fund raiser due to staff shortages. My kindergarten kids were very excited when they found out a new piano came. They were ready to sing songs from Gracie's Corner and Ms. Rachel, to name a few. We ended up using the materials to get prepared for our Black History Program, where we celebrated black figures in different categories of life. The kinder kids learned a song by Gracie's Corner featuring rapper Paul Wall called \"The Wheels on the Bus\".\r\n\r\nTo be transparent, this year is extremely tough. While there were celebrations to be had, I had to endure a sobering reality of teaching music this year. For a majority of this school year, I have spent time substituting in other teachers' classes rather than work my own. It has frustrated me knowing I couldn't use all of my materials fully. Even now typing this, I am sitting in a Science class as a substitute. It will be like this until the end of March, at least. My subject is the one on the chopping block when it comes to filling missing teachers. It's honestly kind of hard to stay motivated on the basis I may not even return to my classroom subject with vacancies. \r\n\r\nI do apologize about the somber mood. I feel that, out of respect, it is to be known. Should music class resumes, I will be back to using the equipment for class. Thanks again for your donation. My entire K-8 school has been told about your generosity for providing the necessary equipment for a successful music class. They are grateful for your contribution. Thank you again for your support in keeping music in schools, even in just my own little part of the world. It means a lot.","fullyFundedDate":1760693805967,"projectUrl":"project/music-class-revamp-to-modern-day/9510700/","projectTitle":"Music Class Revamp to Modern Day","teacherDisplayName":"Mr. S","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp10098656_orig.jpg?crop=783,783,x233,y426&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1753806772549","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10098656"},{"teacherId":5929060,"projectId":9075223,"letterContent":"Thank you for your donations.
