Students are particularly looking forward to the incentives as it helps them stay engaged in their work, looking forward to the rewards for great response and displaying studious behaviors. Some of the resources were also used during our class celebrations and holiday party. \r\n\r\nWhen the students first heard about and saw the resource package, they reacted with a mix of excitement, curiosity, and surprise. We spent a few minutes guessing what was inside the big box before actually opening it and being able to see what was donated to our class. The students were impressed by and grateful for the package. \r\n\r\nRecently, our class adopted a baby bearded dragon for our class pet. It has been a delight to have the bearded dragon around as it has been something the students look forward to throughout the day. We are using the class pet in our math class to track data such as growth and eating habits.
