Every morning, my students eagerly dive into these wonderful tools, and it's truly inspiring to see their excitement. At the start of each month, there's a buzz of anticipation as we discover the new resources we'll be exploring together. It's such a joy to see how enthusiastic everyone is to learn and try new things. \r\n\r\nBy using these resources daily, I've observed incredible growth in my student's social skills, teamwork, creativity, and problem-solving abilities. Watching them interact, learn from each other, and overcome challenges has been a rewarding experience. They were fully engaged in the stories while enjoying being able to cuddle/hold/sit with the Slumberkins characters they were also learning about in the story promoting specific SEL skills. The Slumberkins materials we received led to great collaborative conversations about using SEL skills like conflict resolution, decision making, and coping skills in real life situations.\r\n\r\nThe use of the Slumberkins resources have given students a physical reminder to use when thinking back on various SEL skills we've discussed, and the characters help students remember the specific social emotional skill associated with that character. The students are able explore emotions and feelings with a deeper connection to real life situations. These resources have really helped students make connections from the social emotional learning themes in the Slumberkins resources to events and situations in their own individual lives. This helps the students see how these SEL skills can be applied to their daily lives. \r\n\r\nThank you for helping support our students' overall well-being and preparing students for success in school and beyond!","fullyFundedDate":1725202920860,"projectUrl":"project/literacy-for-building-social-emotional-l/8715325/","projectTitle":"Literacy for Building Social Emotional Learning skills","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Solem","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp7155624_orig.jpg?crop=272,272,x174,y0&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1583355383954","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/7155624"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_78670","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":179,"numTeachers":9,"percentFrplEligible":48,"percentAsian":0,"percentBlack":3,"percentWhite":83,"percentIndigenous":7,"percentLatinx":4,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"K - 6","studentTeacherRatio":"19.9:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"RURAL","ncesMetroType":"RURAL_DISTANT"},"inStateSupporters":88.9,"schoolId":78670,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Fairview Elementary School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Fairview Elementary School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/montana/fairview-consolidated-school-district-3-13/fairview-elementary-school/78670"}
