The new books you funded have opened a door to deeper learning and genuine engagement with literature. \r\n\r\nThe addition of many of the books allowed students to choose new adventures for their reading groups. Instead of being stuck with a few choices, they have many choices. It has transformed reading groups into a lively community of thinkers. Students gather in small groups to discuss characters' choices, share predictions, and connect themes to their own lives. With diverse voices represented in these new titles, we've been able to explore empathy, perspective-taking, and critical thinking in meaningful ways. Students are learning how to identify themes, analyze characterization, and make inferences—all skills that strengthen both their reading comprehension and their ability to express ideas clearly.\r\n\r\nOne student, who used to avoid independent reading, has found a new favorite series each morning. Another student, typically quiet during discussion, has begun raising his hand to share thoughtful insights about motivation and symbolism. It's clear that these books have helped my students see themselves as readers and thinkers whose voices matter.\r\n\r\nYour support has turned reading into something my students look forward to instead of an assignment they must complete. Every turn of a page is a reminder of your belief in them and in the power of stories to inspire growth.
