My students have had the opportunity to read about conditions that were faced by peers from a different historical perspective. There were a number of students who expressed their learning empathy for the fictional peers in their chosen books.\r\n\r\nMy goal for this project was for my students to gain a new point of view, from a fictional peer, into some of the historical times that we have studied and will study before our year is up.
