The new resources are used daily in counseling sessions with students. Students feel more comfortable engaging in conversations while utilizing sensory tools or playing games that foster rapport. The magnatiles are a popular fidget choice, the art supplies help students express themselves, the snacks and new seating options provide comfort, and the books give opportunity for students to see themselves in literature. My students were so excited to see all of the new items in the counseling office! Some even said how \"cool\" my office looks now, and I agree it definitely looks more inviting and creates a safe place for all who visit. As next steps, I hope to expand my library so I can provide more diverse literature to students at school and plan on posting artwork designed by students in session on my walls. The goal is to continue evolving so that students feel comfortable and at home in my office and in counseling. Your generosity has quickly transformed my office into a welcoming and calming space. Students were thrilled the moment they saw all the new additions and explored everything that had been donated. The atmosphere shifted instantly, transforming the office into a true safe haven where students now feel even more encouraged to take a break, express themselves, and reset when they need it most.\r\n\r\nThe fidgets and art supplies have proven to be especially powerful tools in helping students self-regulate and open up during difficult conversations. Whether they're coloring quietly while working through emotions or using sensory tools to manage anxiety, students now have more ways to process and express what they're feeling. These resources support their emotional growth and give them an outlet to explore creativity, reduce stress, and feel more in control. It's been incredible to witness how these simple tools can spark meaningful connections and support students' overall well-being.\r\n\r\nThe addition of comfortable chairs and snacks has made the counselor's office feel even more inviting. Students often stop by during breaks or lunch just to take a few moments to recharge—sometimes with a snack in hand and a quiet activity to keep them grounded. Having a space that feels cozy and thoughtfully equipped has made a huge difference in how students view mental health and self-care.","fullyFundedDate":1737561924414,"projectUrl":"project/socialemotional-learning-room-to-suppor/8831961/","projectTitle":"Social/Emotional Learning Room to Support Students","teacherDisplayName":"Mr. Harter","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-6_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9781030"},{"teacherId":9206818,"projectId":8852153,"letterContent":"Thank you for your incredible donation for my students to pick out books of their choice.
