This project brought in everything from a cornhole set and giant beach ball to a bubble machine, prize wheel, and matching games—and the excitement was immediate!\r\n\r\nWhen our students first saw the materials, they couldn't believe it. One student shouted, \"This is like a carnival!\"—and that's exactly what it felt like. We celebrated teh end of the year with a celebration using the bubble machine, inflatable games, and corn hole. \r\n\r\nThese materials are integral to our community-building activities. The ring toss and duck pond games are especially helpful for students working on memory, matching, and fine motor skills in a fun, low-pressure environment. Our events are a great opportunity to build leadership, responsibility, and pride in their school community.\r\n\r\nThank you again for making this possible. Previously, we had just one small kitchen in our old building. Now, we have four fully equipped cooking stations, each color-coded to help students stay organized and confidently return items to their proper places.\r\n\r\nWhen our students first saw the new cookware, oven mitts, containers, and tools, their faces lit up with excitement. All of the moments of students being able to independently participate in cooking has truly captured the joy of cooking in our program.\r\n\r\nWe've already begun using the new resources in our cooking lessons. The vegetable chopper has been a game-changer, allowing students of all abilities to safely and independently prepare ingredients. The silicone oven mitts are long and sturdy, giving students the protection they need to handle hot items with confidence. And the airtight containers are helping students learn how to scoop and measure dry goods—skills that are essential for both cooking and life.\r\n\r\nOur next step is to furnish the kitchen with more specialized tools to meet highly specific individual needs to broaded the scope of our accessibility. Our goal is for every student to have access to a fully stocked station, making group cooking projects more inclusive and efficient.\r\n\r\nWe are so grateful for your support. You've helped us create a space where students can build independence, learn essential life skills, and experience the joy of cooking together.","fullyFundedDate":1746675169491,"projectUrl":"project/etp-program-equipment-part-1/9322072/","projectTitle":"Etp Program Equipment Part 1","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Rachel Tochiki","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9938977_orig.jpg?crop=614,614,x0,y83&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1741648402629","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9938977"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_133733","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":null,"numTeachers":null,"percentFrplEligible":26,"percentAsian":43,"percentBlack":3,"percentWhite":24,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":14,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"12 - 12","studentTeacherRatio":null,"demographicsDataSource":"MDR District Record","equityFocus":false,"titleOne":false,"metroType":"UNCLASSIFIED","ncesMetroType":null},"inStateSupporters":100.0,"schoolId":133733,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Evergreen Transition Program on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Evergreen Transition Program","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/washington/bellevue-school-district-405/evergreen-transition-program/133733"}
