My reading intervention students have enjoyed the Dragon Masters series since 1st grade. I looped with my students to 2nd grade, and they asked to continue the series on the first week of school. It is difficult to have a group of 20 students read chapter books when there are only 3 copies in my room. \r\n\r\nI was making copies of each chapter so they could continue reading the series. With your help, I was able to get a class set of one book. This will help students appreciate turning a page of a book, and understanding the parts of a book instead of a packet that I copied. I will also be able to use the books for next year's reading intervention class. They often ask me to take a picture of a recipe to send home to their parents. Some of them have gone home and tried out the recipes.
