Our first engineering design project of the year was to make gravity powered cars. The kids loved designing, building, and testing their designs. My students are stressed with end-of-year testing and have been able unwind by designing and printing fun designs. They have been able to put engineering concepts into practice by printing blades for wind turbines, and the interlocking designs to practice scale and proportion. Not only are the kids designing and building, but the students also asked to put the printers together themselves, too. \r\n\r\nMy students are so excited to be able to use engineering in their everyday lives.
