This was the first time in years that clay has been taught at my school. \r\n Many of my students have never used clay before. The excitement they felt when needing the clay was very cool to watch. The pride in their faces as they painted and I wrapped them was absolutely delightful. Some of them really had an inate understanding of how clay could work together and how to problem solve putting pieces together. \r\nAs with trying new things some students struggled, but once I started going around to tables and working with small groups they really took off. \r\n Not only did it help inspire my students, but it gives me encouragement to try for more 3D projects for next year. \r\n Again thank you so much for your generosity and kindness with helping our art program at Ensley Elementary School.","fullyFundedDate":1739376309136,"projectUrl":"project/building-skills-with-our-hands/9063520/","projectTitle":"Building Skills With Our Hands!","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Carruth","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-9_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9896217"},{"teacherId":9872266,"projectId":9003272,"letterContent":"Thank you for the opportunity to share books and this fun experience of Battle of the Books with my students. 3 groups read SSYRA books to participate in the Battle of the Books.
