Thanks to our new resources we have been able to create an environment that supports student regulation by providing the tools our kids need to help themselves. We are now also able to schedule much needed sensory breaks for students across every grade level.\r\n When the children saw our new materials in the sensory room, they were ecstatic! They wanted to try out each new item as they came, they also loved getting to watch the upgrades as they happened. I let two boys help me unpackage some of our new supplies and this helped them feel pride in this new environment that they get to be a part of.\r\n Our next steps for the Turn Around Center are to make it as self sufficient as possible. Students will sign in and out independently, access the supplies they need, and clean up by themselves when their timer goes off with a staff member supervising. This plan will help teach our kids the tools and techniques they can use to regulate and eventually teach them how to identify their needs so they can self-advocate for what they need.","fullyFundedDate":1734634243948,"projectUrl":"project/create-a-student-paradise-with-our-turn/8950929/","projectTitle":"Create a Student Paradise With Our Turn Around Center!","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Maliyah","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9841623_orig.jpg?crop=2400,2400,x0,y0&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1732575076701","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9841623"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_61329","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":437,"numTeachers":28,"percentFrplEligible":21,"percentAsian":31,"percentBlack":4,"percentWhite":41,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":10,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"Pre-K - 5","studentTeacherRatio":"15.6:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":false,"titleOne":false,"metroType":"SUBURBAN","ncesMetroType":"SUBURB_LARGE"},"inStateSupporters":62.5,"schoolId":61329,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Endeavour Elementary School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Endeavour Elementary School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/washington/mukilteo-school-district/endeavour-elementary-school/61329"}
