The students have dedicated art supplies in scissors, tape, crayons, markers, and colored pencils that they use for artistic assignments and to show their creativity. We have been able to use the easel board along with the markers to plan and document various activities, including our classroom expectations. Students are using the dry erase pockets, markers, and erasers for their daily math practice. And of course, basic supplies of pencils and erasers are critical for my students to be able to do their daily work. Having the necessary items for students to be able to do their work was such a help to start the year, particularly as a first year teacher.\r\nWalking into the classroom for Meet the Teacher night allowed students to begin to see what their third grade experience would be like. Being able to see all of these supplies allowed students to have a clearer picture of what they would be working with on a daily basis. It was an assurance to the parents as well that all necessary supplies were on site and they would not need to gather supplies to ensure their student would be ready to start the year. My students were so excited when they saw them! We use them often in our classroom. \r\nIt was over 110 degrees the first few weeks of school, and the students that didn't have water bottles from home used the ones sent from you. It kept them hydrated and cool in the heat. \r\nWe have used almost everything at least once already. We have used the folders to hold resources and the headphones to work on computers. The fidgets have helped in our safe place and the prizes and stickers filled our prize box, giving students incentive and goals to work toward. The math magnets have been helpful in teaching greater than and less than to the kids in our first unit of math. Pencils, crayons, wipes, and erasers are used every day.
