These materials have made an incredible difference in helping students build foundational reading skills in both English and Spanish. Many of my students are now more confident readers with the help of these decodable slides we do everyday and they're excited to tackle new books and stories each day. These decodable resources allow them to apply phonics skills in a meaningful way, and it's been amazing to see their progress accelerate. For many of them, reading no longer feels frustrating, it feels empowering.\r\n\r\nWhat's most exciting is how engaged and proud my students are when they use these new resources. The slides are engaging and the layout helps them feel successful from the start. One student who was previously hesitant to read aloud now volunteers regularly, beaming with pride as they decode new words with ease. This technology-enhanced literacy support has been a game-changer in our classroom, and I am truly grateful. Thank you for investing in tools that meet my students where they are and help them soar.","fullyFundedDate":1734218819110,"projectUrl":"project/decode-materials-for-dual-language/8664262/","projectTitle":"Decode Materials for Dual Language","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Ramirez","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp8932887_orig.jpg?crop=721,721,x0,y0&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1674150922788","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/8932887"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_93965","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":495,"numTeachers":35,"percentFrplEligible":95,"percentAsian":0,"percentBlack":7,"percentWhite":31,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":57,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"4 - 6","studentTeacherRatio":"14.1:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"SUBURBAN","ncesMetroType":"SUBURB_LARGE"},"inStateSupporters":65.7,"schoolId":93965,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Emily G Johns Elementary School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Emily G Johns Elementary School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/illinois/plano-community-unit-school-district-88/emily-g-johns-elementary-school/93965"}
