The training helped me understand how to deliver structured, multisensory reading instruction with far more confidence and intention. I am now using S.P.I.R.E.'s routines, prompts, and progress-monitoring tools every day, and it has strengthened my ability to meet each student exactly where they are. Your support gave me the skills to truly refine my craft and deepen the impact of small-group intervention.\r\n\r\nOne of my favorite moments since completing this project happened during a phonics lesson with a group of second graders. We were practicing a new concept using S.P.I.R.E.'s blending routines, and one student who had been hesitant for weeks suddenly read an entire line of words independently. His face lit up, and the whole group quietly celebrated with him. It was such a small moment, but it perfectly captured how the structured steps and consistency of the program are helping my students build confidence, accuracy, and a genuine excitement for reading.\r\n\r\nLooking ahead, I'm excited to continue strengthening my intervention skills and to explore more ways to support students who need targeted reading support. This training has given me momentum, and I'm eager to implement even more of what I learned as we move into new literacy units. Thank you again for investing in my growth as an educator—your contribution has made a meaningful difference for both me and my students.","fullyFundedDate":1751337132168,"projectUrl":"project/leveling-up-literacy-training-for-a-tit/9437021/","projectTitle":"Leveling Up Literacy: Training for a Title I Teacher","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Kukes","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp6555545_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1751311826546","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/6555545"},{"teacherId":5396664,"projectId":8822130,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for your generous donation of new science resources to my classroom. Your support has truly made a positive impact on our science lessons, allowing students to engage in hands-on learning experiences in small groups. This has sparked their excitement for learning.\r\n\r\nThe donated materials align with all 3rd-grade science standards. With the grant, I was able to purchase science kits covering Weather and Climate, Habitats, and Forces and Motion. Each kit includes four engaging science investigations and offers real-life connections to help students understand key scientific principles.\r\n\r\nOur class recently explored magnetic and electric forces, and the students are now eager to dive into weather patterns. The weather kit provides materials for the students to use while allowing them to design their own investigations. Each investigation builds upon the previous one. For example, students will begin by learning about weather patterns, progress to studying weather-related hazards, and ultimately engineer and design models that can withstand hazardous weather conditions. This scaffolding approach to learning is highly beneficial for students, and the hands-on experiences make the lessons even more meaningful. My class has thoroughly enjoyed using the science kits.\r\n\r\nYour contribution is making a difference in our students' education, and I am incredibly grateful for your commitment to their success.
