My adapted PE students have absolutely fallen in love with the Nex Playground. From the moment they walked in and saw the bright visuals and interactive games, their faces lit up with excitement. Students who are usually hesitant to try new activities immediately jumped in, laughing, and moving with confidence. The new resources have transformed our class into an energetic, inclusive space where every student feels capable and eager to participate.\r\n\r\nSince incorporating the Nex Playground, I've seen tremendous growth in motivation and engagement. Students who typically struggle with attention or gross-motor tasks are now staying focused longer, participating more independently, and showing real pride in their progress. One of my favorite moments was watching a student who rarely initiates movement start a game independently and encourage classmates to join. Those small victories mean everything in adapted PE, and your support made them possible.\r\n\r\nWe are excited to continue using the Nex Playground to build balance, coordination, teamwork, and confidence. Your generosity has given my students opportunities to move, explore, and succeed in ways that feel fun and meaningful to them. They could not believe that people they didn't even know took the time, energy, and money to help fund our project because they never see that kind of thing in their own lives. Once we started opening the boxes, their excitement grew. They were extremely respectful and careful with each item. They would tell other teachers or staff to come see the changes to our classroom because of all the fun seating, etc. Since the new flexible seating, light covers, weighted stuffed animal, and lap desks have arrived, the students have been coming into the classroom, finding a comfortable seat, utilizing the stuffed animal when anxious, and just being overall more respectful and diligent regarding their classwork. The students love being able to work in a cozy and caring environment. There have been several times in just the past week where they have utilized the weighted stuffed animal to help center themselves and calm down without having to go to a time out room or remove themselves from a challenging situation. Thank you from myself as well as my students.","fullyFundedDate":1740681296906,"projectUrl":"project/flexible-seating-for-one-and-all/9068920/","projectTitle":"Flexible Seating for One and All","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. DeHart","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9901173_orig.jpg?crop=240,240,x0,y23&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1737655660739","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9901173"},{"teacherId":9901288,"projectId":9069146,"letterContent":"I am thrilled to share the profound impact your generous donations have had on my classroom and my students' lives.\r\n\r\nSince implementing the Calming Corner, we have seen wonderful changes in how students manage their emotions. For instance, during a recent assignment, students utilized the calming resources to take breaks when they felt overwhelmed. They engaged with the sensory tools and even used the corner for group work, allowing them to relax while collaborating on other assignments. This has been a fantastic way to keep students in class and focused.\r\n\r\nWhen my students first saw the materials, their reactions were priceless. Many expressed excitement and relief, saying things like, \"Wow, this is for us!\" Some shared that they felt more comfortable knowing they had a space to retreat to when things felt too overwhelming. The joy and gratitude on their faces truly reflected the safe haven we've created together.\r\n\r\nYour support has not only equipped our classroom with essential tools but has also fostered a sense of belonging and emotional security among my students.
