I was able to teach them how to decode a word by segmenting its sounds and then blending them together. It is such a magical moment when a student reads a sentence for the first time. Your generosity has made this possible for them.\r\n\r\nMy other students have been so excited about reading because they have such a diverse and abundant selection of books to choose from our classroom library. They love the Piggy and Elephant series, Pete the Cat, and the nonfiction animal books by Sandra Markel. The decodable books have given our class the opportunity to become fluent readers!
