With materials like paints, crayons, markers, scissors, and glue, children are able to express themselves in ways that words sometimes cannot. Creating art helps students build fine motor skills as they cut, color, and paint, while also encouraging them to explore shapes, colors, and patterns in meaningful ways.\r\n\r\nArt activities also nurture problem-solving and critical thinking. When children decide how to mix colors, design a picture, or build a collage, they practice making choices and taking pride in their creations. Just as importantly, art gives children a sense of accomplishment and confidence when they see their ideas come to life.","fullyFundedDate":1746786065392,"projectUrl":"project/support-our-young-artists-with-art-suppl/9141441/","projectTitle":"Support Our Young Artists with Art Supplies","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Mejia","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-10_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9820839"},{"teacherId":9820839,"projectId":9274106,"letterContent":"Dramatic play toys have a powerful impact in the classroom. These materials allow children to step into different roles, use their imagination, and act out real-life experiences in a safe and creative way. When children play with items like baby dolls, kitchen sets, cleaning tools, or dress-up clothes, they are not just \"playing\"—they are practicing important life skills.\r\n\r\nThrough dramatic play, students build social-emotional skills as they learn to share, cooperate, and express their feelings. They develop language and communication skills by talking with peers, creating storylines, and using new vocabulary. These activities also strengthen critical thinking and problem-solving, as children negotiate roles, resolve conflicts, and make decisions during play.\r\n\r\nFor preschoolers, dramatic play toys are also a key way to explore the world around them. They mimic routines they see at home and in their communities, which helps them better understand their environment and fosters independence. Most importantly, these toys spark joy and creativity, giving every child the chance to learn through meaningful, hands-on experiences.","fullyFundedDate":1746786386471,"projectUrl":"project/building-language-and-social-skills-thro/9274106/","projectTitle":"Building Language and Social Skills Through Dramatic Play!","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Mejia","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-10_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9820839"},{"teacherId":9820839,"projectId":9046265,"letterContent":"On behalf of my preschool class, I want to extend my heartfelt thanks for your generous donation of books.
