Your contributions were originally intended to help fund a classroom makeover, but when the materials unfortunately never arrived, I was able to convert the funds into Teachers Pay Teachers gift cards. This unexpected change turned out to be a wonderful opportunity to directly invest in my students' learning through high-quality instructional resources.\r\n\r\nWith your donations, I've been able to purchase engaging materials that support both extensions for advanced learners and targeted interventions for those who need extra practice. These resources have already made a meaningful difference—allowing me to better meet each student's unique needs and create more personalized learning experiences. Your kindness has not only enhanced our classroom environment but has also reminded my students (and me!) of the incredible power of community support.\r\n\r\nThank you again for believing in my classroom and for helping create opportunities that truly impact student learning every day.","fullyFundedDate":1753307448323,"projectUrl":"project/5th-grade-classroom-makeover/9419810/","projectTitle":"5th Grade Classroom Makeover","teacherDisplayName":"Mr. Melendez","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp10002729_orig.jpg?crop=330,330,x0,y40&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1745096424996","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10002729"},{"teacherId":8500880,"projectId":9167948,"letterContent":"I wanted to take a moment to thank you again for your generous donation of ukuleles to our classrooms. Your gift has made a truly unforgettable impact on the students.\r\n\r\nThe excitement on the students' faces the day we unveiled the ukuleles was priceless. There was a chorus of gasps, wide eyes, and pure joy as they realized each one would be receiving their very own instrument to learn and eventually take home.\r\n\r\nSince then, we've incorporated the ukuleles into our music lessons, learning basic chords, strumming patterns, and even writing simple songs. One of my favorite moments was watching a student who is typically very shy and reserved raise their hand to lead a class strumming pattern and then absolutely shine in front of their peers.\r\n\r\nWe've also begun integrating the ukuleles across subjects. We've used music to support language arts, storytelling, and cultural studies. The students were eager to perform for families and the school community, and many talked about how they plan to keep practicing over the summer.\r\n\r\nThank you for giving our students this incredible opportunity. Your generosity gave them more than just instruments, you gave them a creative outlet, a sense of ownership, and a reason to believe in themselves.","fullyFundedDate":1746787429668,"projectUrl":"project/strumming-into-success-creativity-uku/9167948/","projectTitle":"Strumming Into Success & Creativity: Ukuleles for 4th Graders","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Beletti","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp8500880_orig.png?crop=296,296,x0,y0&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1655409554326","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/8500880"},{"teacherId":8500880,"projectId":8937371,"letterContent":"I'm excited to share the incredible impact your generous donation has had on our classroom through the purchase of a class set of the second book of The Wild Robot series, The Wild Robot Escapes, by Peter Brown. This book has opened up new opportunities for student growth, creativity, and connection in ways that go far beyond just reading.\r\n\r\nAs students read The Wild Robot 2, they have been able to practice critical thinking skills like identifying cause and effect, making predictions, and drawing conclusions based on the characters' actions. It also challenges them to think about technology, nature, and humanity in a nuanced way, promoting thoughtful discussion about the intersection of those themes. Additionally, the rich vocabulary and descriptive language have helped students build their reading comprehension and expand their vocabulary.\r\n\r\nIn our classroom, reading has become an interactive, collaborative experience. We dive into the text together, discussing different parts of the story, analyzing character motivations, and exploring what might happen next. I encourage students to ask questions about the text and make connections to their own lives. Group discussions allow students to share their thoughts and listen to differing perspectives, which enriches their understanding. I also use the book to introduce creative writing activities, where students reimagine parts of the story or write about the book's themes from their own perspectives.\r\n\r\nIt has been wonderful to see how The Wild Robot 2 has resonated with different students in unique ways. Some students, who might not have engaged as much with previous books, have found themselves completely captivated by the adventure and the emotional depth of the robot's journey. Students who are typically more attuned to nature and animals have found the interactions between the robot and the animals in the story to be a beautiful and meaningful part of the narrative. They've been eager to discuss the connection between the robot and the creatures it encounters, sparking engaging conversations about the environment.\r\n\r\nThanks to you, our classroom now has a shared experience around this remarkable book that we can all learn from. Your support has not only provided us with new books, but has fostered a love of reading, collaboration, and reflection. This has been an invaluable resource, and we're so grateful for your contribution!\r\n\r\nThank you again for making this possible.","fullyFundedDate":1733163166467,"projectUrl":"project/readers-rooting-for-roz/8937371/","projectTitle":"Readers Rooting for Roz!","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Beletti","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp8500880_orig.png?crop=296,296,x0,y0&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1655409554326","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/8500880"},{"teacherId":8248582,"projectId":8531286,"letterContent":"Your gift of books has been an incredible resource for our classroom!
