Students are now able to record, review, and edit their performances, gaining a deeper understanding of movement, composition, and visual storytelling. The technology encourages self-reflection and collaboration. Students analyze their work, give feedback to peers, and experiment creatively with backgrounds and effects using the green screen. This hands-on experience blends arts education with digital literacy, helping students connect technology and creativity in meaningful ways.\r\nStudents are most excited about the creative control these tools give them. They love filming their dances, designing digital backdrops, and producing short performance videos that showcase their artistic vision. The ability to see their work transformed on screen makes the process feel professional and inspiring, boosting both engagement and confidence.\r\n\r\n\"It feels like we're making our own music videos — it's so cool to see our ideas come to life!\" — 8th Grade Student\r\n\r\nMy 6th grade students have embraced the new tools with enthusiasm. Those who were once shy about performing now feel more comfortable expressing themselves through film. Others who are interested in media, design, or technology have found new ways to participate by filming, editing, or managing the green screen setup. This technology has opened doors for every student to explore, create, and shine in their own unique way.","fullyFundedDate":1742925338503,"projectUrl":"project/talented-young-artist-dancers/9169651/","projectTitle":"Talented Young Artist & Dancers","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Alphonse","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9968387_orig.jpg?crop=2400,2400,x0,y128&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1741891073677","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9968387"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_108922","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":267,"numTeachers":null,"percentFrplEligible":94,"percentAsian":12,"percentBlack":48,"percentWhite":0,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":38,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"6 - 8","studentTeacherRatio":null,"demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"URBAN","ncesMetroType":"CITY_LARGE"},"inStateSupporters":26.9,"schoolId":108922,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Einstein Charter Middle School - Reed on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Einstein Charter Middle School - Reed","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/louisiana/orleans-parish-school-district/einstein-charter-middle-sarah-towles-reed/108922"}
