Because of your generosity, my students were able to turn their writing and artwork into real, professionally bound books. We created \"About Me\" books where students wrote about what is important to them, the people they love, and even letters to their future selves. Students also added printed photos of themselves with their friends and families and included original artwork they created especially for this collection.\r\nThe new printer and book binding machine made this experience truly special. Students watched their work come together and be bound into books, which filled them with pride and excitement. To celebrate, students wrapped their books and gifted them to their families for the holidays. For many, this was the first time they felt like real authors. My students have been using the Math for Love flashcards both in class and at home with their families - and they absolutely love them. Unlike traditional flashcards, these ones include visuals like ten frames and equal groups that help students truly understand what the math facts mean, not just memorize them. It's been so rewarding to see their confidence grow as they build fluency with these foundational skills.\r\n\r\nOne moment that stood out was seeing students excitedly teaching their peers how to use the flashcards during math menu time. Several students even asked to take sets home to play with their families - something I've never seen with regular flashcards! Next year, I plan to introduce these much earlier in the school year so all students can start off feeling successful and excited about math.
