Each week, I read a new book focused on an important topic like staying on task, controlling anger, having conversations, or practicing good table manners. These stories help students understand and relate to these skills in a meaningful way. Throughout the week, students get to practice what they've learned, which helps them build confidence and positive habits that carry beyond the classroom.\r\n\r\nReading time is an engaging and interactive part of our day, where students not only listen but discuss and reflect on how these social skills apply to their own lives. The addition of sensory items in our calm corner—especially the weighted blanket and fiber optic light—has been a game changer. These tools help students calm down and regulate their emotions, making it easier for them to focus and participate. The new timers and fun reward items have also added structure and motivation, and the kids have been thrilled to use them daily.\r\n\r\nWe've seen great progress, especially among students who need extra support with self-regulation and social interactions. Your gifts have given them tools and strategies that make a real difference in their day-to-day experiences. Thank you for helping create a classroom where social growth and emotional well-being are nurtured every day.","fullyFundedDate":1754759838354,"projectUrl":"project/supporting-big-feelings-and-bright-futur/9509450/","projectTitle":"Supporting Big Feelings and Bright Futures","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Nelson","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9706120_orig.jpg?crop=1066,1066,x266,y0&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1746113590677","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9706120"},{"teacherId":3274810,"projectId":8675720,"letterContent":"Thank you for helping me with my classroom essentials.
